We believe in supporting charities that are consistent with our focus on marine conservation and disaster relief.
Our primary charitable beneficiary is Ocean Conservancy. Ocean Conservancy is working around the world to protect the ocean from today’s created global challenges. Together, they create science-based solutions for a healthy ocean and the wildlife communities that depend on it.Visit Site
We also support a regional organization, The National Save the Sea Turtle Foundation, based in our home port of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This organization works to provide educational programming, promote public awareness of Florida’s marine ecosystems, and support sea turtle research both in the United States and abroad. We encourage our charterers to support our charities and consider getting involved either through a donation of time or money to these worthwhile causes.Visit Site
BOOST The BAHAMAS was formed by Maritime Charity Enterprises (MCE) in response to Hurricane Dorian. Hurricane Dorian was the most powerful hurricane to strike the Bahamas and is regarded as the worst natural disaster in the country’s history. Over 50,000 homes and many ports have been severely damaged or destroyed. BOOST The BAHAMAS’ mission is to spread light on and serve communities in the Bahamas affected by Hurricane Dorian. Our goal is to “drop anchor” and be a helping hand in the reviving homes and ports and to bring health and happiness back into the lives of the Bahamians. BOOST The BAHAMAS raised funds at the 2019 Sea Soirée Charity Luncheon and Fashion Show and donated its proceeds to the World Hope International and Grand Bahamas Children’s Home.
