CYC believes in promoting sustainability initiatives and reducing the environmental impact of our yachts.
We specifically consider ocean conservation, water quality, reducing pollution and waste in the practices of all of our yachts and businesses. We believe yachting can make a difference and become a more environmentally friendly industry over the long-term. We also encourage our charterers to assist us in our mission and to practice sustainability on and off of our boats.
We are making a commitment to not utilize single use plastics on our yachts. We encourage sustainable drinking practices by employing metal cups and straws, we “sip with a purpose”. We also believe in energy conservation and reduced water consumption, we use non-toxic cleaning products, properly handle waste disposal and recycling, and continue to implement a multitude of other sustainability initiatives as possible during our charters. Additionally, our yacht is 100% aluminum, which it infinitely recyclable. 80% of aluminum that has ever been made it still being used.
We also participate in Ocean Conservancy’s Good Mate Program. Ocean Conservancy worked in collaboration with the U.S. Coast Guard and Coast Guard Auxiliary to create Good Mate, a public outreach program aimed at reducing and eliminating marine pollution and environmental degradation. Ocean Conservancy’s Good Mate program gives boaters and marinas simple, easy-to-follow guidelines for green boating.
